Carol Meyers and Mary Lamonica both received special awards this month. Meyers, who is an administrative assistant in the NMSU Department of Journalism and Media Studies, was recognized Tuesday, April 16, at the NMSU College of Arts and Sciences faculty and staff awards dinner for her outstanding service to the university. Meyers was one of only four staff members to receive an award at the event.

Journalism professor Dr. Mary Lamonica was recognized April 5 at the annual “A Starry Night” event, which recognizes a star faculty member, staff member, student or alumnus from each of the college’s academic departments.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college at NMSU. It is home to some 26 different academic departments including two ROTC programs.
