News22

About the Program:  

News22 prepares future broadcast journalists with live, hands-on, “real world” experience. When students graduate from the News22 newsroom and studio they have all the tools needed to succeed and thrive in a highly competitive field. Editing, shooting, reporting, producing, live anchoring, production, assignments – News22 treats students as professionals and teaches every aspect of the business. The thirty-minute LIVE broadcast airs to all of west Texas and southern New Mexico three nights a week via KRWG and is entirely produced and staffed by students. News22 has been on the air for over twenty years and has helped students become leaders in the world of broadcast journalism. Turn on the nightly news in almost any major city in the United States and you will most likely spot a former News22 student. Join the cast of News22 to jumpstart your career as a television journalist and build a strong resume with aired television work. With live television and newsroom experience you will stand above your competition.
