CrimsonWire
CrimsonWire.org is the official digital publication produced by students in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at New Mexico State University. It features original content across a wide range of media formats, including news articles, feature stories, video packages, podcasts, photo essays, and social media storytelling.
The platform serves as a hands-on learning environment where students can apply classroom knowledge to real-world media production. Content is created, edited, and published by students enrolled in various journalism and media courses, as well as those participating in student media activities.
CrimsonWire.org covers topics relevant to the NMSU community and broader regional audiences, offering students the opportunity to explore reporting, digital storytelling, visual communication, and strategic messaging in a professional setting.
Projects on the site often involve collaboration between students studying broadcast, print/digital journalism, photojournalism, and strategic communication. All content is produced using department-provided multimedia tools, labs, and software.
