News22 is the student-run television newscast produced through the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at New Mexico State University. Airing weekly on KRWG-TV, News22 offers students hands-on experience in all aspects of broadcast journalism, including reporting, anchoring, video editing, camera operation, directing, and producing.

The newscast is created entirely by students enrolled in the News22 practicum courses, providing a professional-level training ground for careers in television news and multimedia production. Students work in a fully equipped broadcast studio and newsroom, using industry-standard tools and workflows to cover local, campus, and regional stories.
