Biography
Amy Lanasa is a writer, director and actor originally from Texas. She received her M.F.A. in Film and Professional Writing from the Florida State University Film School where she also earned an M.A. in theatre studies with an emphasis in playwriting. Amy has received both the Patricia Christmore and Donald C. Roush Teaching Awards for excellence in teaching at New Mexico State University, where she has taught since 2006. She is currently an associate professor and serves as department head of the Creative Media Institute at NMSU, as well as the interim head of the NMSU Department of Journalism and Media Studies.
