The Department of Journalism and Media Studies continues to comply with state mandates from the New Mexico Department of Health, as well as NMSU systemwide public health guidance and directives.

This page provides information on how the J&MS department is currently handling operations, along with general public health safety information and remote learning resources. 

NMSU/J&MS COVID POLICY UPDATES

As of March 1, 2023, COVID-19 vaccines are no longer required as a condition of enrollment or employment at NMSU.

Face masks are optional on campus as of Feb. 17, 2022.

Face-to-face class meetings resumed in August 2021.

Milton Hall and J&MS labs reoponed in August 2021.

All J&MS department faculty and staff returned to campus in August 2021.
