Biography

Barbara Franco is a New Mexico native. She was born in San Miguel, New Mexico, and graduated from Gadsden High School. She also attended Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico. Barbara retired from NMSU in 2016 to take care of her three grandchildren. Once her grandchildren entered school full-time, she came out of retirement and has since joined the Department of Journalism and Media Studies as a full-time administrative assistant.
