Biography

Gain Park is an assistant professor in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at New Mexico State University. She received her B.A. from Auckland University of Technology and M.A. and Ph.D. in media and communication from Sungkyunkwan University. Dr. Park’s research interests include intelligent media agents, immersive media, human-computer interaction, large language models, and persuasion. Her research can be found in journals such as Telematics and Informatics, Current Psychology, Behaviour and Information Technology, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, and Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking. She is a recipient of the 2023 Patricia Christmore Teaching Excellence Award. In class, she focuses on providing cross-disciplinary and experiential learning opportunities.
