NMSU Department of Journalism and Media Studies ranked nationally

Study.com., an online learning and education resource platform, has ranked the NMSU Department of Journalism and Media Studies No. 45 on its 2021 list of "Best Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Journalism."

Study.com praised NMSU for its high academic quality in an email statement issued by the company. "We considered hundreds of universities across the country and selected New Mexico State University-Main Campus based on academic and career resources, the quality of education, faculty, and more," the statement read.

NMSU has long been a regional leader in journalism and media studies education. Students may choose areas of emphasis in broadcasting, strategic communication, multimedia journalism and photojournalism. Additionally, the department offers minors in journalism and media studies, social media management and strategic communication.
